Launchy is a free application that has been designed to help you locate anything on your computer. Launchy works by indexing the programs on your system. The application lets you open and launch your bookmarks, documents, project files and folders simply by keying in the name.

This application allows you to open nearly any application, file, folder, or even bookmarked websites that are held on your system. You simply input the first few letters of the file name and Launchy populates the remainder of the name. All you do next is press enter to open or launch it!

Launchy has a really simplistic user interface and can be mastered in only a few moments. Once you start to use this Launchy, you may not see the need to use the finder menu again.
